What We Believe
The Holy Scriptures
The Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God. We believe the King James Version of the Holy Bible with its sixty six books from Genesis to Revelation, is the authorized version of the Bible for the English speaking people. It is the absolute authority for all things we preach, believe, and practice. It is complete in its entirety and perfect in its application for our lives. We reject the dynamic equivalency method of translation which results in a version of the Bible far removed from the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts. Thus, the versions of the Bible that use dynamic equivalency contain general ideas rather than the very words of God.

The Holy Trinity

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three distinct persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Each member of the Trinity is eternal in being and equal in power and glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, and thus is the second person of the Holy Trinity. We believe he supernaturally came into this world born of the virgin Mary. He took on the body of man without ceasing to be God. Jesus Christ is 100% God but also 100% man. He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross for all mankind, was buried in a borrowed tomb, and arose from the grave the third day. Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, serving as our mediator and High Priest. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again to Rapture His church prior to the Tribulation period, and then will return to establish His 1000 year glorious reign on Earth after the Tribulation.

The Father

We believe God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. We believe He sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, as the only acceptable sin sacrifice for the human race in order for us to have forgiveness of our sins. He mercifully intercedes today in the affairs of men, He hears and answers our prayers, and He saves us from sin and death through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Ghost
The Holy Ghost is the third Person of the Holy Trinity. He is eternal, was active in the act of creation, he fashions men and imparts life to them. The Holy Ghost inspired the Holy Scriptures by imparting the words of God to the writers of the various books of the Bible. The Holy Ghost convicts men of sin and draws them to Christ. The Holy Ghost indwells all that have called upon Christ and are saved. He sanctifies them, regenerates them, equips and empowers the believer for service, assists believers in understanding the Scriptures, and seals them until the day of redemption.

Creation

We believe in the Genesis account of creation and that it is should be accepted literally and not figuratively. We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We completely reject the theory of evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin. We believe that God created man in his own image, and man did not evolve from any lower form of life.
The Fall Of Man
Adam was placed in the Garden of Eden as a sinless creation of God. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden, their hearts became fallen and corrupted by sin. This corrupt nature was transmitted to the entire human race. Man is guilty and condemned before God. Man possesses within himself no means of recovery or salvation.

Salvation

Salvation is the free gift of God to all that call upon his name. We do not acquire salvation on our own merit nor is it “earned” by any good work we do, religious sacrament we have taken part of, or virtue we possess. Salvation is by the grace of God alone thru the shed blood of his Son Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. The sinner can receive the free gift of salvation by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation results in a changed life where men turn from their sins and serve the living God unto good works. We believe that all who put their faith in Jesus and call upon his name are justified; their sins are forgiven; they are born again; given spiritual life by the Holy Ghost; and they are eternally secured and kept by God until the day of redemption.
